Mmmmm we tried rice cereal today! He wasn't supposed to have solids until 6mo, but he had been sleeping through the night before and lately waking multiple times to eat, so we thought we could give it a try. He seemed to catch on quickly and love it. Next is avocado!

Christmas Suit

Complete with a homemade tie! (You can't buy baby ties in December- you need get your outfit ready in October which I did not...) Note to self.
Our first Christmas as a family did leave us a little disappointed... We had to saw through some trees in the lane to get out of our house early on Christmas Eve when the power went out. It was out for 2.5 days. We stayed at Grandma's. Henry and I had really bad colds and Henry has a sore finger where I think I clipped his nail too close. The weather kept us from getting to Christmas parties and Caitlin's baptism. Maybe our 1st Easter will be better???
But- no more complaining! Because overall we were very blessed in 2009.

That's right we've got a roller on our hands! His first time was from back to belly on Saturday and he's been rollin ever since! And he kind of does it in slow motion so he like wobbles over. Very cute!

Motherhood is...

...Forgetting your coat! Brrr! I left the house today with no coat, hat or gloves. But Henry had his hat, along with his blankie, illini paci, milk, 2 changes of clothes, and a Christmas bib to wear....with all that how could I remember anything for myself!
I'm sure you can relate!
